Projects recommended for Vinings must comply with quality of life and community character guidelines. Focus has been placed on land use, creation of green space, recreational areas, and design compatible with historic architecture. Examples include a “Vinings Common” (town square focal point) and a community center for civic meetings, association offices, and a museum.
COMPLETED PROJECTS:
St. John’s Church site, cemetery, shoupade, and radan location on Settlement Road property has been designated a historic site and protected from future development of any kind.
IN PROGRESS:
Acquisition of land and construction of a Vining’s Community Center.
Trail design in support of Chattahoochee National Recreation Area.
